Got some great advice in 2007 from The Scouser about going to Spain with my wife and child. Well we are living and working in Spain and my wife got her NIE card with no problem, valid for five years. I understand that when the five years are up she will be able to renew it for a permanent card. Now is that still true if we visit back to Thailand for a year?
