Koh Samui, Live-in Caretakers, Advice Pls

Recommended Posts

Dear All,

It is a long shot, but I am hoping that somebody will be able to give me an advice.

We have a big villa in Koh Samui, not far from Big John’s. Ideally, we would like to rent it out from time to time, but the problem is that it is remote and who ever is going to stay there, would need a car.

We would like to find a live-in couple, who can take care of our villa. The current caretakers do not speak any English which makes communications very complicated.

Therefore, is there any chance of finding a Thai couple who speak some English so that they can communicate and resolve any problem that arise and do some driving for our clients or us?

Any ideas where can we find that service and how much would it cost?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Regards

Does the couple have to be Thai? What about English speaking foreigners? You might find a couple who are looking for a nice (cheap?) place to stay who would be interested in doing that.

I guess it depends on what you want the couple to do in terms of looking after the villa. Are looking for full-time workers (maid, gardener, driver type work) or just people to greet and look after guests and do some driving?

At least one of the caretakers needs to be Thai (amongst many other reasons, to communicate with plumbers, electricians etc you need to know the language).

We are not offering a "cheap" place to stay. It is a full time job taking care of big villa and guests. thanks
