jerrybeirne
thanks to those who helped with my non imm "o" query a couple of weeks ago. i did not realize that the visa was valid from day of issue, rather than first arrival in thailand. im sure this has been asked before, but i cant find it. why do certain embassies/consuls issue certain visas, why are n't they all the same? sabai, sabai, i managed to answer my own question by reading others. i can return to thailand, with "o" visa and a one way ticket. dont tell me they have moved the goal posts since reading that yesterday! Lite Beer
You can go to Thailand with a one way plane ticket if you have a Visa. The Validity of a Visa starts on the day it is issued. Don't get it too early. Different Consulates will have their own set of rules.
mcyachty
Hi All, I have a question along this line. I wish to apply for a non-immigrant B visa, with 1 year, multiple entries. I am in Sydney, but have heard Sydney is rather tough. Can I send my application to another state or do I have to do it in person? Any feedback on Melbourne, Brisbane or Canberra or is Sydney ok? I apologise of this has been answered numerous times before, but would really appreciate the advise from you all.

You'll find it hard to get a 1 year non-B without a workpermit.
david96
You submit the visa application to the Thai consulate in the State where you live. Residents of NSW apply at the Sydney Consulate. You can apply by mail takes about 5 working days. Send your documentation by registered mail both ways.
lopburi3
You can apply for a visa at most any Consulate in the world. You just have to meet the issue requirements of the Consulate you apply at.

Brisbane will accept out of state applications by mail. -redwood
