going to laos to get a tourist visa

before i used one of those travel places around the just before the border crossing where they fill out the laos immigration card and the re-entry slip for

thailand for you now i am going directly to the border crossing and not bothering with them so a couple of questions

where do i get the re-entry slip from on the way back for thailand and

although they filled out the immigration card for laos i still needed the official form from laos immigration, was the one they did for me unnecessary

You will get an arrival card when you get back to the Thai border - you could probably pick one up on the way out if you want.

No need for agents in Laos, just go to the visa place and ask for a form. Takes a couple of minutes to fill out (they have tables and chairs to do this), then hand back with your fee and wait about 15 mins - very easy. Pay in dollars if it's easy for you to get some.
