Help With Writing Names In Thai

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Im wanting some help writing a couple of names in Thai.

The names are Jeed and Micky.

I think i know how to write Jeed in Thai but just need to know for sure.

And Micky i don't really have an idea about.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Jeed - จี๊ด. This is a common girl's nickname in Thai.

Micky is a bit more tricky.

You could have มิคี or มิคีย์ or มิคคี or มิคคีย์.

All 3 would be pronounced "Micky" to a native Thai reading it.

I'd go for มิคีย์, just out of personal preference.

Thanks a lot for your help.

That was how i thought Jeed would of been except i didn't know about the special mark above "jee"

Thanks again

Micky can be spelled the way most Thais pronounce it, มิคกี้ (like from Micky Mouse). Of course, it's not Thai and has zero meaning in Thai, but that's the way most foreign names end up.
