Can I Do My Double-entry Visa Run By Land In Mae Sae?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a double-entry tourist visa and need to activate the "second" visa this week. I'm living in Chiang Mai right now and wanted to make sure I can just do a visa run to Mae Sae/Burma border to activate my next 60 days?

(I already did the 30 day extension, so I do need to do the border run)

Just want to make sure I don't have to fly somewhere in order to get the second 60 days. It'd be a shame to go to Mae Sae and get stuck with a measly 14 day extension and a cancelled tourist visa...

Thanks! Any help much appreciated.

You must do it befor the visa expiration date (not your permitted to stay until date). But yes you can do it at the border and get 60 days if the visa has not expired.

You can enter at any border. Make sure that the Visa is still Valid and you have not gone past the "Use By" date
