Swede Wanted For Pattaya Murder

This Swedish guy had a bit of a track record. They interviewed his dad and got the story. He was a very promising ice hockey player in the Swedish major league. He then suddenly quit as a player and became one of the most respected referees in the major league.

One day he nicked the referees cash box, with about $10,000, and took off to Rio. In Rio he got messed up with drugs and other problems and finally got back to Sweden again. In Sweden he worked up several hundred thousand dollars worth of bad debts with credit card companies.

To escape his problems in Sweden he went to France and joined the foreign legion. After 5 years in some of the worst trouble spots he resigned from the legion and went to Pattaya for a holiday. The rest of the story is told in above messages.

And so what if New York has murderers and prostitutes we're talking about Pattaya, and I'm not going USA. I'm going to Thailand, which, to me is a different kind of experience altogether.

At this point, like many others here, I'll make a prediction on the case; The Thai ho attacked him with a knife, the situation got turned around on her, with him additionally smashing her head in, as one might tend to do in such a situation, then, realising that he was screwed whether it was a case of self-defense, or even a manslaughter with mitigating circumstances, he decided it best that he flee.

If so, I hope he gets away!

I think you'll find that most provinces and cities ahve there fair share of crime and murders in thailand.

What's my point? - No one knows for certain that one of the above two scenarios are true or not.

As for some of the comments on this thread I feel compelled to state that many of them are apalling or reveal strange warped viewpoints. There was an earlier post from someone who, whilst trying to sound sympathetic, included the words "I do not care about her profession. She did not deserve this" Why were these unnecessary words used? Other posts only serve to remind us how easy it is to whip up frenzied lynch mob mentality based on very little information.

I hope the police get as much help as possible from the public and get this case accurately solved ASAP.

Police announce the name of a Swedish man wanted in connection with the body-in-the-bag murder case.

We now update you on the body-in-the bag murder case in North Pattaya. Police are now hunting for this man. He is Mr. Carl Kenneth Eriksson aged 40 from Sweden and is holder of Swedish passport number 78335244. He had been staying at the Sawasdee Court Hotel on Pattaya Second Road in room 501. The Police investigation continues however they have discovered that he had been staying in the hotel for 6 months and was often seen with different ladies. There is also a report that the suspect would often be seen arguing with these women. The CCTV picture we have received clearly shows a tall dark haired man dragging a dark colored bag through reception on 13th February. This is believed to match the same bag found at the crime scene. Mr. Eriksson is also known to have checked out of the hotel on 13th February. Police believe he is still in Pattaya. If you know this man or have seen him, please do not approach him as he is considered as dangerous, please call Pattaya Police immediately on 038 420 802. We will keep you updated on further developments in this disturbing murder case.

The man checked out of his room within minutes of the police turning up. In the bathroom, officers discovered blood in the sink and on a mat. Samples have been taken to see if there is a match with the victim’s. An ABP has been posted all over Thailand to find the farang in question.

Police to issue arrest warrant against murderer of Thai woman

PATTAYA: -- Police in Thailand's eastern resort city of Pattaya is issuing an arrest warrant against a Swedish national suspected of murdering a Thai woman recently.

The Swedish suspect, identified as Mr. Carl Ericson, was believed to be still in the area, said the local police.

The police investigators found from a close TV circuit at the Sawasdi Hotel, where the suspect was last seen, that he carried a black plastic garbage bag when he checked out from the hotel last week.

Mr. Ericson was said to have checked in at the hotel with a Thai woman.

The police later found the naked body of a Thai woman near the Bay Ville Hotel in Pattaya.

They believed that the Swedish tourist had murdered the Thai woman and then dumped her body at the site.

These articles are so detailed, when there is a murder in a hotel room, some girls will think that a ghost is left behind. Some of the bargirls have extensive databases of the rumored ghosts for each hotel, and if you say your staying at one of these hotels, they'll ask you what room or floor to make sure its safe.

So next time you check into a hotel ask if anybody has been axed in it before you settle in. Girls don't like boom boom when they think someone creepy is watching.
