Sore Throat Silences Thaksin

Sore throat silences PM

BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra will not be speaking to the media for a week. He is suffering from a sore throat.

Mr Thaksin avoided the podium at Government House on his arrival yesterday, telling reporters gathered outside Santi Maitree Building that he had a sore throat and intended to keep quiet in front of the cameras for one week.

Mr Thaksin, who has been facing heavy criticism over the government's zoning plan for the South, told reporters it was a holy Buddhist day.

He suggested calm solemnity would be the right attitude to maintain.

He was a little ahead of himself.

The biggest holy day of the month is today, Makha Bucha Day.

Make it two weeks!

Unless something's about to be revealed and he's come up with this... "bright idea" to refrain from any comments. :o

:o:D Forgetting what day it is....

he's getting more and more like his fellow Texan, GWB.

As always, something reported about him in the media has annoyed him so he "punishes" the media by not talking to them.

:o

But being spared from hearing him on the air for a whole week would be a blessing.

I seem to remember he pulled exactly the same stunt a while back.

Does that mean Thailand will be come the Hub of Sore Throats?

How did he get the above mentioned sore throat?

(My dad always told me it was from going down on dirty women :o )

"SPEAK NO EVIL"

I seem to remember he pulled exactly the same stunt a while back.

He did and here is the story

No Talking Thaksin, doctors orders

There was another time, too, that I remember. That time was out of anger, as a 'punishment' to reporters. As I remember, it lasted one or two days...

I would treat it by sticking a lozenge between his toes. :o

Is there a way to make that permanent? Could solve a lot of problems.

Lets take up a collection nd pay him to shut it :o

Well.... assuming he's faithful, he needs to get the little missus to the gyn doctor quick and clear up that nasty fungus she has growing between her legs.
