just guessing, but see a lawyer may be near the top of the list?

You & wife visit Amphur with original copies of wedding certificates & valid id, pay the small fee & get divorced.

This is the most cost effective & pain free way of doing it & will only work if you are both in agreement. if there are disputes over children, property/money etc then I suggest agreeing all of these issues beforehand & the amphur will note them all in the divorce too. if youare unable to agree these issues then employing a lawyer is the next step as it will need to go to court.

Go to the nearest Umper office, it does not have to be the one you were married in. Take your marriage certs, 2 copies of everything ie. passport picture page and latest visa page, her house book, her id card, all copies signed, the marriage certs, also you need 2 witnesses, and if she is not contesting it or asking for money or anything, it will take 10 minutes and cost 155. baht, or at least it was 9 months ago. I used a friend and the taxi driver for witnesses, so I had to pay the taxi driver 100 baht as well :)

If it's contested or she wants something, you may want to talk to a lawyer first.

Gotta love this place, only country in the world where it's cheaper to get a divorce than get married.

I mentioned it in the other thread you opened. Sort out your visa before you divorce. If you have a non-o based on marriage, you will lose that visa the very day you sign the agreement. Harsh, but true.
