I've been using this site for years to keep up on what's at the top and I've found that Kaspersky, NOD 32, and Avira are always the top three pretty much. The rest have good and bad years but the top ones are always consistant.

Virusbulletin is an excellent source too but the subscription fee has gotten quite ridiculous.
