I have plan go to Thailand to open ATM Electric account in some Bank in Bangkok to connect with Paypal account and withdraw in Vietnam by ATM card. Because Paypal don’t allow withdraw in Vietnam. But I don’t know any body in Thai and I also don’t have permit job. What I have is Passport and Hotel address. I never come Thailand but I think my visa tourist perhaps 30days.

I have read some message like that about KASIKOR BANK can do it.

Anybody know where the bank in Bangkok can help me open account like message above?

Thank you.

Do you know the name of the bank in Bangkok?

The big banks are Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn Bank, Siam Commercial Bank and Bank of Ayudha. Personally I would steer clear of Bangkok bank. My experience with them is they want signed copies of your passport and work permit before they will do almost anything :)

But i don't have work permit. Folks any idea?

As said you must try,the decision depends on on the Bank, the expertise (or the stupidity) of the teller, the financial amount you put on the table.

Most people find an accomodating Branch, with a bit of legwork..

Btw,Bangkok Bank, the Main Office in Silom, isn't worse as other institutions,IMHO.

Thanks, I think Kasisorn will be ok

Ask the same time to open cyberaccount (internetbanking), take about 3 or ' day's to proces it, BTW their customer helpline works perfect. Once I transfered a rather large sum from abroad, after 48 its was not yet in my account as it normally is, I phoned them, and 15 minutes later it was booked.

PS: the maximum amount you can transfer by internet is 200 000 Baht, its possible to make it higher but you have to sign some extra papers for it.
