I would like some guidance, my (Thai) wife and I own our house in Chiang Mai and our new car have no loans or mortgages. I am working in Spain and when we return to Thailand want to buy a small shop house with a mortgage. We have some money in SCB but as we have been out of Thailand for almost two years have not moved money in the SCB account.

If the mortgage we ask for is no more than the value of our house what sort of chance do you think we have of being given the loan.

I can show my pay slips from Spain and tax papers

We rent out the C/M house at 12,000bht pm so feel we could cover any loan for the shop house.

Amy advice on the best way to approach the bank would be most welcome.
