Next week we will be taking a couple week motor trip in Thailand and plan to go thru Kanchanaburi and today I picked up a brochure advertising the Jungle Rafts. They look nice, a bit touristy, but may be ok for a nithe or two. Has anyone stayed at the river Kwai Jungle Rafts and what did you think?

Yes, it's okay. I found it nice, can also swim a bit in the river ( float with ). In the high season it can be busy I guess. I went in the low.

Visit the tiger temple while you are there too.

Its way out of town & therefore remote but it seems very popular on tripadvisor.com

Best time is in December. Wake up early morning (6am) to hear the chirping of birds and see mist rising out of the flowing water and covering the cliffs.

Bring along a couple of LED torchlights for visits to the caves.

During the night you can hear alot of jungle animal noise lol.
