Pattaya, July 18 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : Three vehicles were involved in a serious road accident at the Tepprasit Road junction with the Sukumvit Road on Friday Afternoon, resulting in serious injuries sustained to one of the drivers. Police and rescue workers rushed to the location in Jomtien and began by attending to Khun Pridee aged 32 who was trapped inside his Silver Mazda pick-up. The drivers of the two other vehicles involved in the crash were unharmed; however their vehicles sustained considerable damage. Witnesses and the two uninjured drivers, Khun Laddawan aged 42 and Khun Prasan aged 49 were questioned and Police determined that the accident occurred at the Traffic Lights. The Lead vehicle, a Black Isuzu pick-up driven by Khun Laddawan was slowly turning into the Sukumvit Road and directly behind was the Silver Mazda driven by Khun Pridee. It appears he failed to see the turning Isuzu and to avoid a rear-end collision, he quickly turned to the left and clipped the left side of the Isuzu. The Mazda crossed into the left lane and span 90 degrees. A black Nissan pick-up driven by Khun Prasan was entering the junction at speed to beat the red light and slammed into the side of the spinning Mazda. Police are continuing their investigation into the crash.
