Mca Satellite Tv

Does anyone know of a dealer in Surin or Buriram who can supply the necessary set-top box and, presumably, smart card for MCA satellite Tv (to get the South African sports programmes)?

I have never used him myself, but there is a dealer is Surin a few doors along from the Farang Connection (older premises going away from bus station). He gave me a demo of Dream once and probably would know about MCA. This might perhaps be worth investigating if you don't get more definite information from somebody else. MCA does not have a dedicated box, and normally uses an irdeto 2 conditional access module. The choice of equipment will depend on whether you are planning to receive it via an official card or another method.

I too think that place is your best choice (in Surin). I do not know of any other alternative shops

If you go to http://www.dstv.com/dstvsa/content/en/dstvsa/home

this is the home site for MultiChoice they should be able to point you in the right direction

there is about 53, 54 channels here I think all in english

This is okay for the channel guide but won't help you buy the package (or get a local dealer address), because MCA won't sell an official card direct if you live in Thailand (their broadcasting rights do not relate to SE Asia). If you want an official card you will need to buy through an intermediary, who presumably arranges for purchase in one of MCA's home territories.. Some dealers do sell them but they are just as likely to suggest use of card sharing or perhaps a G*mma card.

Thanks for the replies. I've tried the MCA website, but as citizen33 says, it doesn't help you to get connected unless you are in Africa. I'll try the Surin dealer next time I can get there; I don't know Surin at all well, and hope I can find it (a name would help, if someone could give it me). A lot of people in Thailand seem to have the Supersport channels somehow!

Go to the Ferang Connection (details above) and they will help you as its 2 minutes walk away.

Dave

Your are right many Thai's do have it

I just remembered that I saw a poster of ( Home TV ) here in Khon Kaen they had 4 Super Sport Channels

Maybe if you ring them they may be able to help

I also remember some mob in Bangkok was doing MC do a search on Google

JSAT will tell you where to get it, though I think they only do the installation (expensive option though).

Probably this Thai dealer could also advise.

Or a cheaper solution if you have the equipment (DM500S) set up:
