Taxi Meter Rates In A Traffic Jam

Featured Replies

A couple of queries I hope someone can answer.

a. How far is the taxi rate in Bangkok fixed at 35 baht for?

b. In a traffic jam where the taxi is not moving, how much does the meter charge per minute?

Thanking any replies.

Is this for a school project or something? anyways next time you jump in a taxi you will notice a sign on the back of the drivers or front passengers seat. clearly outlines the fees.

that fixed rate of 35 baht starts changing after the first kilometre

that rate for stationary or travelling at less that 6km/h was about 1.5 baht per minute or something similar to that

It's actually 1.25 baht per minute for less than 6 km per hour.
