Scanners to monitor Liverpool match attendees on Wednesday - free flu masks

BANGKOK (thaivisa.com): -- Football fans planning to attend the game between the Thai national team and English Premier League team Liverpool FC., will be checked for fever upon entering Rachamangkala Nation Stadium tomorrow (Wednesday).

Dr. Somchai Chakrapan, director general of Disease Control department, said three thermal scanners will be set up to monitor attendees for signs of pandemic A(H1N1), originally termed swine flu.

According to Dr. Somchai, organizers of the match have agreed to refund the ticket purchase price to anyone who exhibited signs of fever attempting to enter the stadium.

He said the ministry will also distribute face masks to people in front of the stadium, but said there may not be enough for every person, so people should take their own if they have them.

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez said the game against the Thai team, came at “ a really important stage of the season.”

The full Liverpool team, including Fernando Torres, new signing Glen Johnson and Xabi Alonso, but minus captain Steven Gerrard, will take to the field for the “friendly” at 8pm tomorrow night.

The Liverpool squad comprises: Jose Reina, Alvaro Arbeloa, Glen Johnson, Andrea Dossena, Emiliano Insua, Daniel Agger, Martin Skrtel, Jamie Carragher, Javier Mascherano, Lucas Leiva, Xabi Alonso, Albert Riera, Yossi Benayoun, Dirk Kuyt, Fernando Torres, Andriy Voronin, Ryan Babel, David Ngog, Nabil El Zhar, Diego Cavalieri, Peter Gulacsi, Philipp Degen, Jay Spearing, Damien Plessis, Krisztian Nemeth, Mikel San Jose Dominguez, Daniel Pacheco and Martin Kelly.

The Thai national team had a 4-0 win against Pakistan in their final warm-up match on Saturday, with two goals from Teerasil Dangda, and one apiece from Rangsan Vivatchaichoke and Teerathep Winothai.

http://www.direct.gov.uk/swineflu In the booklet I am holding(IMPORTANT IMFORMATION ABOUT SWINE FLU) it says this; DO I NEED A FACEMASK? "You may have seen face masks being given out to the public in other countries on the news. However, the available scientific evidence shows that these basic face masks don't protect people from becoming infected............Just thought I'd let the Thai Health minister know. :)

CATCH IT,BIN IT,KILL IT. meaning take clean tissues with you ,sneeze into tissue, then bin it. SIMPLE and more hygenic. AACHOOO

The way Swine Flu is getting marketed is extremely professional, maybe they ought to start marketing death by Motorcycle in a similar way to save 10s of thousands of lives in Thailand.

NOW WASH YOUR HANDS

You obviously haven't been watching BBC or Sky news here in the UK if you did you'd be aware that only 12 people in this whole Island haven't yet got Swine Flu .... and im one of them. :)

What will they be coming up with next.
