How Many Days Stay Granted On Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

I would be grateful if someone can tell the CURRENT number of days Granted to stay on a Tourist Visa for an Indian Passport Holder

AND

if you can tell me which Website I should look at in Future for this information,

and the Link thereto

THANKS

Bill

That document was from a few years ago and is not up-to-date and have not seen any that is. There were some changes but don't know details.

I have been looking but all I can find is "Up to 60 Days". There is so little information on this. iI am sure I remember reading 60 days somewhere.

Hi Lop & Lite

Thanks for your efforts and replies.

I know I have seen a Chart somewhere

which tells which countries under which schemes are entitled to what

I thought I copied it to my PC

I am sure I was given the Link on Thai Visa

I am pretty sure I was trying to find the answer to the same question at end of 2007

But my Searches on my PC and on Thai Visa have produced NOTHING !!!

Even a search of my own Posts !!!!

Ah well - just have to see how many days he is given by Immigration when he arrives.

The document should be in the pined items at top of forum under useful information/laws/item 7 but I don't have any bandwith to download. But I do not trust it as there have been changes.

That is the list posted earlier. It says 30 days. I am sure I remember reading a while back that it was changed to 60 days for Indians.

Hi Lop & Lite

Well an Indian friend did get 60 days given to him last December.

We thought it was a mistake ...

But he applied for a Re-Entry Permit at Suan Phlu and was given it to expire after the 60 days

So there was definitlly an opportunity for any error to be found at the Head Office.

He was also given a new Permission to Stay stamp to the same 60 days

when we re-enterd Thailand at the Border near Chiang Rai.

But there really should be somewhere where we can check on the Current Situation.

Although my experience is that so many websites (including Thai Visa) have stale info within their pages.

We are planning a Trip to China mid September and I wanted to book rooms on the Internet

But the Travel Agent in Chennai who is processing the Tourist Visa told my friend that the

Embassy says he will be given only a 30 day stay.

BTW - the Chart I was thinking of was this>

Visa on Arrival & Visa Exemption

http://www.mfa.go.th/internet/document/ChartVisa.pdf

(sorry - I got my Knickers in a Twist !!!)

Thanks again for your time & input.

Bill

The Thai embassy in India doesn't give much information.

It seems they use the services of a company to process visa application. You best contact them for the correct information:
