Hi there -

Does anybody know the name of the folder containing the Desktop Gadgets in Windows 7 RC1?

I would like to copy from another PC a gadget that was by mistake deleted and is not available on the MS download.

Much obliged!

The gadgets are in \windows\winsxs

i.e., x86_microsoft-windows-gadgets-xxxx (where xxxx is the name of the gadget)

Hi Gary -

Thanks for the info, but how to I get it back into the Desktop Gadgets folder/display so that I can add it once again to my desktop?

Any idea?

Eberhard

Actually when you copy/paste into Gadgets folder it should automatically show up Gadgets Application
