Visa Run - Non-immigrant O - From Khao Lak

Hi.

I have my first 90 day stay up until 2nd August. I am currently in Khao Lak. How/what/where/when do I go to get this sorted out and get another 90 days?

Apologies for rudimentary question, but finding information on this website amongst all the ads and junk is nigh on impossible.

No problem, just simply exit Thailand before your "permitted to stay" date expires, and re-enter, you will be stamped in for another 90 day entry. You can use a land entry or go by air. Also, before the visa expiration date, you can do another entry and get another 90 days, giving you a total of almost 15 months.

What would be the easiest way to do this? Don't fancy any long trips or overnight stays.

Closest border crossing is in Ranong 200 KM north of Khao Lak. You can cross over by longtailboat to Burma/Myanmar, or you can go to the pier of the Andaman Club, a hotel/casino on an island just inside Burma opposite Ranong. The latter option is more comfortable, but takes a bit more time and costs a bit more.

You can take the public bus to Ranong, or alternatively go on an organized border run, enquire at a Khao Lak travel agency or check ads in the Phuket Gazette.
