I have difficulty determining the difference between Gik and a GF. My current started out as a GF and now says she is a GIK. She also serves as a Mia Noi (she says) to a high so Thai man. Oddly I have a Thai friend who did exactly this - set a one year time limit and at end of year they all swapped back.
