Just heard that the tower at the airport was damaged by something. Not sure what, hope not a plane.

a friend of mine just called from phuket asking what happened, i live in bonkai so very close to the airport and i haven't heard anything special so far.

Bangkok TV is reporting crash at end of runway with fatalities.

my friend just received an sms saying the planes wing hit the tower(or something) and asking for assistance

I just heard a news bulletin that a Thai Air Asia aircraft ran off the runway in a rain storm at Samui Airport. No report of fatalities as of yet, but their are reports of injuries. details to follow.

A Bangkok Airways plane is on fire, according to sources.

Can't see any smoke.

Just heard not a major accident but may be a few injuries

My wife says no casualties according to Thai TV.

It's Bangkok Airways flight PG266.

Channel 3 currently reporting one dead and many hurt.

Has just said on the news that, sadly, there is one fatality and a number injured.

What are the winds like? It's very wild on the Andaman side in Ranong.

Well if you live so close, go and have a look with your camera. Preferably from the opposite side of the runway from the terminal.

Hope casualties are minimal

I'm not a Religeous Man but i feel it may be time to pray for as little fatalities & injuries as possible...

He was in the cockpit they said, they also said they're afraid it might explode, this from my other half

Talking to a bloke the other day in the air safety line of work. Reckoned the only safe airline in Thailand today was Bangkok Airways. Accidents do happen.
