colino
Hi all I would like to know if anybody has had the same problem as me and other people around where I live. A couple of months ago my Starting Motor packed up, Nissan replaced it no problem under warranty, but it did take 3 days. Now I have just found out that in my area alone 9 people have had the same problem, I have fixed cars before back in the UK and when I saw how small the starting motor is for my pick up I was surprised. Nissan say that there is no problem or faults with these models but I am not so sure,One guy has had to pay 9000 baht for a new starting motor because he didn't do his last service. bojo
With all the problems others too are having with such a new model and assuming the starter has been replaced by another the same, don't be surprised if it's arecurring problem and the new starter might also fail after the expiration of the warranty(assuming its a one year warranty). Did you keep the old starter, maybe you could find a good reconditioner prior to any more problems and have a spare ready just in case. garyh
Not sure about you model but my 2.7 Nissan Diesel starter is quite small, they are geared so the small motor can do the job.
