Lost passport

Featured Replies

I am a holder of a new New Zealand passport after losing my old one. I had to get a report from the tourist police and pay 650baht at the New Zealand Embassy for a letter to take to Thai Immigration in Sathorn. The nice people in the lost passport office took 15 minutes to issue me with a new visa. There is one slight problem/question I have. They issued me with a non-immigrant visa expiring on the same date as the old one (17 November) they didn't/couldn't state what type of non-immigrant visa I have/had. It simply states "non-immigrant" The letter from my embassy requested a non-immigrant B multiple entry as per the old one. Do I still have the old visa (Non-Immigrant B Multiple) or what exactly do I now have? Is there any way to get my passport to state non-immigrant B multiple? If so where and how do I do that or if not what is my status?
I think you'll find that it'll be a B in fact. In any case, it has only got a few weeks to run and you'll need to get a new one. It is well worth keeping photocopies of passport info pages, TM card, and visa.

Being that it was a multiple entry b are you suggesting that I can simply cross a border before it expires and immediately come back again with a new 90 day stamp?
Absolutely correct...out and back and another 90 days. If one is clever you can get almost 15 months. There is a win for you
