In the past I have raised Thai Ridgeback dogs and owned many. My buddy, Cyclo an arrow Ridgeback is getting old and just wants to sleep - I'll give him that. But in order to guard my house (and me) I decided it was time for a new dog so I recently got a young female Ridgeback who is about 15 weeks old now.

This young lady is super intelligent and I do not want her intelligence to go to waste with a dummy like me - therefore, I want to take her to school.

Does anyone know a good dog trainer, preferably that speaks English around the Laksi area. I do have a truck and can travel if necessary with her to go to classes. Since I am in the entertainment business, a dog trainer who trains movie/tv dogs would be great.

Hi, come to the next dogshow at Pantip Plaza Ngamwongwan on August 22-23: there is a Philippino mand called Mani that is a dog trainer ans handler. He speaks very good english.

Thank you all for your info. I think I found a trainer. Thai, speaks only a little English but his son and wife help with the language barrier. Khun Wanchai who lives in the Ram Intra area, not far from me in Laksi, was the trainer of the dogs used in the Thai movie "Ma mha 4 khaa khrap" ("Road House Gang").

Key variable for me with Tryke's training is that we are able to develop an acting career for her.

Tryke and Adjarn Wanchai have already met. Wanchai agrees she is very intelligent but lacks courage (feel like I am in the Land of Oz with the Scarecrow and the Lion).

Anyway, now dealing with a minor skin problem and when medication runs its course, Tryke will go to boarding school for 3 months.

Training with Wanchai is expensive, however.
