7.6 Earthquake Felt In Chiang Mai At 3 A.m.

Featured Replies

Hey,

Just checking to see if others felt the earthquake last night at 3 a.m.??

Here are my details:

As you know we just moved into the 14th floor of other Condo here in Chiang Mai...

Last night I could not sleep and was up working on the computer.

I normally enjoy a few beers before bed but didn't last night.

Not long ago I had had a dream at my old place in Chang Klan Residence about a BIG Earthquake and had noticed big cracks already in the walls...YES the cracks were real, lol...

At 3 a.m. last night while sitting at my computer in the new condo it began swinging in the air...

It made me feel very light headed like I was going to pass out. Since I have lived in the San Francisco Area in California... I have been through many small earth quakes and knew the feeling.

I was sure it was an earthquake sooo I tried to look at a glass of tea sitting next to me to see if the tea was shaking in the glass, but it was only a little bit left in the glass and I couldn't tell if it was shaking or not becasue the building was shaking sooo much or should I say a Gentle SWINGING Motion that made me very light headed.

When we got up this morning the first thing I asked Francia was if she felt the Earthquake and of course she said NO.

Sooo I told her to help me keep a watch online for any earthquakes in Thailand or China.

While reading the Thai English Newspaper online a few minutes ago I saw this Headline which confirmed what I had personally experienced at 3 a.m. last night.

7.6 Earthquake Andaman Islands Tuesday 3am Thai Time, Tsunami alert for Thailand and area cancelled after a few hours

Just another of many reminders.... you never know when YOUR last day will be sooo try to enjoy everyone of them like it is your LAST.

Did any of your neighbours in the Condo feel the quake? Do you talk to them?
