I am definately against underage sex, but I think a 16 year old consenting female is borderline and I dont know what to post on it. I thought Thai law allowed sex between consenting "adults" at the age of 15?

Was it becuase it was "pay for sex" and not "sex for love" that got him nicked?

All people mature at different ages - society doesn't need to protect Michelle Wie against golf in the same way that it needs to protect impressionable young girls against life as a prostutite.

Age of consents in countries vary but other laws also apply, such as child-prostitution laws & laws against 'corrupting a minor'. In western countries with low age of consent, there are still laws that protect children from dirty old men.

In the UK - laws are being considered to supplement age of consent laws so that people of similar age can engage in sexual activities but there will be certain age-gaps that are not allowed. So - two 16 year olds would be able to have sex but a 61 year old man would still get in trouble for having sex with a 16 year old.

We are talking about 2 different things here. More advanced countries have lowered age of consent because young people are having sex with each other & these countries want to bring them within the law & make available family planning devices to them. Age of consents are not lowered so that old men can underprivileged, immature or uneducated young girls.

As an almost 44 year old I'm just wondering why so many old farts independant from nationality get a kick out off having sex with very young individuals may those be girls or boys.

Is it because of an underdeveloped organ and/or brain making it impossible for them to take on an attractive and fully developed adult and therefore forcing them into kinky habits or is there any other reason?
