....said Mr.Thaksin at his latest "phone in"! :)

....................His recent trips to Africa, he said, were forced on him because his life's savings had been frozen. He complained that allegations of corruption against him suggested he had taken the government's money, while in fact the government had taken his money, adding that he was waiting for justice to take its course.

So he hasn't done anything wrong he was wronged!

Interesting development "Everything will be brighter soon, after this period I foresee paths to happiness"....well, well, well... hew won't give up, no way!

Will he finally get it his way, will the Government and the judiciary give in, trade the frozen assets, his "life savings" for the sake of reconciliation and peace oft he country and will, if so , this move bring genuine peace and reconciliation, or will the division open further and a real "witch hunt" begin?

....to be continued soon....

Hello, it looks like Thaksin is still living in his fantasy world. Most of the Thai people I talk with think he is crazy, and his red shirt thugs are looking for an excuse to make trouble again. We will see what will happen with the meeting on August 30, and I hope for all the best for the Thai people.

He supposedly has a platoon of fortune tellers. It was one of them, the one in Chiang Mai, who told him he should go into politics and name the party 'Thai Rak Thai.' I'd bet they're all telling him what he wants to hear right now, and getting paid handsomely; he's obviously the type who doesn't appreciate bad news. He's probably sending for them and they fly first class. Maybe they are the "they" that took his life savings!

:)

I don't know how many of you noticed, but in the weeks following the coup Endora (aka Mrs Taksin) came and went from the kingdom several times, and I'm sure her luggage wasn't inspected when leaving ('hey, that's not my suitcase, it's my wallet").

Man, what I'd have given to be a fly-on-the-wall when he met with Bananarama in Fiji. He probably bought himself an island.

There is an old saying... "Live by the sword and die by the sword."

It is very appropriate in Thaksin's case. Yes, the present Thai government HAS confiscated his funds. But, some of those funds were obtained illegally. Had Thaksin stayed low key and not over stepped his authority and power he would probably still be in power today. But, he got greedy an now has to forfeit much of his personal wealth. I'm sure he still lives far better than 98% of the other people in this world.

As far as I understand, Thaksin wants to make Thailand a more modern country. Some folks couldn't stand that, now he is off power. It's all a big game, between the big boys. I wouldn't say everything he did was good, some people did not like his " war on drugs ", but see what happens now, the current goverment, won't do a thing about the situation in the south, and borders to Laos en Cambodia etc....

Moslim extremists en drug trafficers, don't go away with "words". The require hard militairy force. But offcourse a p.m can't go to far, like Thaksin did, then he will be seen as a criminal. The world is a weird place.

He's gone to Africa to learn how to turn black paper into money and get help in drafting a good email to find someone to transfer funds into their bank account for him.

Should we take up a collection?

No need.

You will soon receive a letter from his lawyer in Nigeria, asking you to give him your bank account number, so he can transfer some of his funds out of there.

You will, of course, be rewarded.

:)

The military coup leaders flew C130 military transport class to Chiang Mai to speak to the same astrologer just before handing back power. I have visited him as well. 'getting paid handsomely' isn't what happens to astrologers in CM. The guy lives in a two-bedroom bungalow in a run-down moo bahn. Western cynicism and the Thai reality are poles apart.

I think all the experts in that have moved to Bangkok and can be found in Suk Soi 3 :)

After all the farangs that have lost their savings to Taksins primary demographic it only seems fair that Karma takes its share.

Mr Thaksin seems confused here, the Thai courts have frozen some of his assets, as his lawyers have no doubt explained to him, but then he seems to think that it's the current (or one of the previous ?) government, which has "taken his money".

Does he not understand the difference between frozen & seized, or between the government and the justice-system, surely a former-PM and fighter-for-justice ought to have a clearer grasp of things than this ? :)

Perhaps he should approach his chauffeur or maid, to ask for some of his other assets back, who knows what they might be sitting on, that he has genuinely mistakenly forgotten about ? :D
