March 13, 200521 yr Hi Pete, A statutory declaration is not required when applying for a UK visa, although you will need to submit proof that you can take care of your fiancée both in terms of accommodation and financially. If you don't wish to supply original documents for fear of them being mislaid you can have copies notarised/certified by a solicitor. Cheers, Scouse.
