Could someone knowledgeable about Thai employment at 7-11 stores please help with answers to the following questions:

1. What is the going monthly rate of pay for cashiers (excluding overtime)?

2. What is the typical daily work schedule (including usual O.T., if any)?

3. Is vacation and/or sick pay provided?

4. What is the amount for the security bond that new hires must deposit before starting work?

5. What is the cost for their uniforms that they must pay before starting work?

Any other relevant details would be greatly appreciated, including any links (in English, of course).

And, no, this is not for me. It is for verification purposes only.

Thanks!

Thailand

The franchise in Thailand is the Charoen Pokphand Group, which in turn grants franchises to operators. There are 4,800 7-Elevens in Thailand, 1,500 of which are in Bangkok, making Thailand have the 4th largest number of stores after the US, Japan and Taiwan. CP All the Thai operator of 7-Eleven in Thailand, will invest between Bt3.4 billion and Bt3.8 billion in 2009, with a major chunk of the money to be spent on opening 450 7-Eleven branches as the company tries to achieve targeted revenue growth of 3-5 per cent. Bringing the total 7-Elevens shops in Thailand to 5,250 [16]

Take it from there :)

Thanks for your input. I heard it was as high as 8000B/mo and as low as 6000 for a "standard" monthly salary but I'm not sure about the actual number of hours worked. I got as far as contacting their Human Resources rep for Thailand but she claimed that all employment compensation information was "confidential", even tho I told her my intent was business research. Big brick wall there. I was hoping maybe one of the franchisees who I've seen post here in the past would help fill in the details but so far no luck. Regardless, you have to admit these people work awfully hard for the pittance they're paid (I hear that Big C and Tesco pay is even lower).
