Gay Nightlife In Phuket

Featured Replies

my bf and me are going to phuket for a week and as I have not been there for 12 years would you mind

giving me your opinion on good bars, discos gogobars etc. We will be staying at patong beach so I

know we should go out in paradise complex.

thanks in advance

rick

It's all still the same basically. Paradise complex is where everything is happening. Nothing really starts till after 10p. Google gay phuket and you will see sites for gay patong and utopia. They are pretty much up to date. BF and I are there a couple of times year for diving trips and in my opinion after a couple of nights hanging around Paradise Complex it get's boring. Good people watching though if you sit outside one of the bars/restaurants having a drink.

Wow 12 years that a long time away,

I find that paradise is fun still but thankfully so many other places here are gay friendly , don't think you need to prison yourself there all the time.

For example there's Club lime on the beach road , seduction on bangala and well in fact almost anywhere.I often will go to bangala with my bf just to watch the pond life as it is more diverse than paradise, sure we would normally end up in kiss or boat bar but up to well past 10 it's fairly crap.

Hope you have a wonderful jolly btw.

Is Galaxy still a gay disco? I saw it moved to south end of the new road behind Jungceylon.

Is Galaxy still a gay disco? I saw it moved to south end of the new road behind Jungceylon.

Galaxy moved to Soi Dtan (means dead end road in Thai) , south of Jungceylon, a while back but wouldn't call it a gay disco. It has a young mixed crowd, mostly Thai. There are other clubs in that area too, often staying open late, depending on the prevailing political winds. Baan See Fah is very gay friendly. Soi Dtan is no longer a dead end road. The new north/south road is now completely paved and runs all the way from Phrabaramee Road at the north end and continues to the road to Karon on the south end. Going north to south you will pass Patong Hospital, a little further along on the left you will see a Family Mart, in the front of a new area called Likit Plaza. Two units behind the Family Mart is the new location of James Dean Bar and Guesthouse. Next you you will come to Baan Zaan, the fresh produce market. Across from it is what will be the new Tiger Disco and bar beer area. Already open is the Thai Boxing Stadium. Next on your right you come to the rear entrance of Jungceylon. It has a brand new club "Sound" opened by the same people as "Bed" in Bangkok. Continuing south you will pass rows of new shophouses until you get to the karaoke area and other bars, including Galaxy.
