Help needed.

After goto control pannel--Regional and language option--Advance,

change 'Language for non-unicode programe' to 'Thai',

my windows xp pro able to support software in thai.

That is great!

But, encounter new problem, not sure anything to do with this setting?

Cos also did try to update my AntiVir but fail.

After restart the pc, got a error massage, ' Can't load Res_dll'

if closed the error windows, it will pop up again every 10 second.

My linksys small icon at right bottom corner at the monitor gone. (my room computer is connected to an acces point by a linksys wireless-G adapter)

Goto another pc to check from internet, seems like this error is from either linksys or windows.

Can't find any solution. End up uninstall the linksys programme to get rid from the error pop up. Means not able to acces internet.

My questions is: Why happen to AntiVir? I not able to update it for a month.

What wrong with this linksys wireless-G, seems like the wireless-b has less problem.

Anyone know what is going wrong? and how to fix this problem?

Thank you :o

From searching the net, the "cannot find res dll" problem is a common one. It doesn't affect the functionality of the network connection (you still connect) just the monitor, and causes the window to popup every 10 seconds.

The solution given:

Uninstall the driver.

Download the driver from linksys (Go to http://www.linksys.com/international/group...grid=33&scid=36 and choose the product and choose drivers and support)

Unzip the driver

Go to the directory where you unzipped the driver

Use notepad to open "Wlan.ini"

Add these lines to the end of the file:

[GemtekLoadResDLL]

LangResID=1

ResFile="resWusb54GS_US.dll"

Save the file.

Install the driver from the directory.

You didn't specify a model, so I can only guess.

Thanks a lot for being so helpful.

Will try out on weekend.

But, my error massage is "can't load Res_dll", and the programme for the linksys wireless-g usb adapter cannot acitivate at all.

The error pop up only stop after i uninstall the programme from "Add/remove programme".
