Ultraviolet Water Purification - Uv

Featured Replies

Hi All,

We are moving to thailand in the new year and starting to sort out what we will need to take with us.

I intend to put a UV water flitration unit in the house we intend to lease

http://www.home-water-purifiers-and-filter...olet-filter.php

If we have to I will buy it here in New Zealand and have it shipped with our household goods.

Question;..... Are they readly avalible in Thailand and if so at what cost???

Thanks....Graham

You can find different manufacturer of water filter system that has 3 to 4 level of filtration plus UV, it will run you average 7000 Bath

minefield

Don't worry, you can get them here in places like Home Pro etc.

Many systems have 5 filters inc reverse osmosis and UV as part of the system and fit easily under the sink.

Easy peezy to fit, just need a socket for the 12v transformer and a cold water supply.

A good system that will give you all the drinking water you need on tap, will cost around 10k Baht.

There are cheaper systems but you get what you pay for, as they say.

I never did trust the water in those 25 Ltr bottles, that you can get off the back of a pick up for a few Baht.

A lot depends on the quality of the water supply as to what machines you use and how much you spend, how many in your family? if you are considering staying here for long time then why not install a filter at the point of entry (POE) that way all your water is filtered.

If you bring a UV filter with you as you say, make sure you can get parts for it here and repaired if needed they are not that expensive now in Thailand
