Moving To Another Country And Taking Your Dog

Featured Replies

I am presently looking into getting a dog. However, it is very likely that I will be leaving Thailand and moving to the Philippines in 6 months. Also, eventually, I may return to my home country the US.

Is it possible to move from Thailand to the Philippines and take a dog along? Same for Philippines and US?

I wouldn't want to get a dog, train the dog and then have to leave it behind. So, if its not possible, I will delay until I have moved to the Philippines.

Thanks for any information or suggestions as to how I might get information. :)

Thank you! :D

Next I will check into the same for the US.

you can bring your dog just about anywhere in the world. just depends on quarantine restrictions. China might hold your dog up for a couple of weeks. Thailand lets you just walk your dog out of the airport...

Wait until you arrive in the Philippines, then get your dog from a shelter. It will be easier and cheaper all around.

the money you save on not flying the dog into the Phillipines, might be better spent on adopting 2 Pinoy doggies :)
