Suthep urges UDD to protest peacefully

BANGKOK, 16 September 2009 (NNT) – Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban calls on the anti-government United Front of Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) to stage its rally in compliance with law on 19 September 2009, the 3rd anniversary of the 2006 coup.

Mr Suthep stated that the UDD supporters from other provinces might travel to Bangkok to join in the rally. He explained to them that the Government had to adopt international standard security measures to prevent possible chaos.

Regarding the rumors that the anti-government UDD group would also lay siege to Suvarnabhumi or Don Muang Airports, Mr Suthep said authorities were investigating the rumors. He stated that the Government would have to invoke the Internal Security Act in other areas apart from Dusit district if the protesters seized the airports.

The Deputy PM also dismissed the speculations the Government would maltreat the UDD protesters.

Woo these guy are pretty good from the front but they do anything so the Army to step in and hope they will have a coup. I guess this is always Thaksin strategy to create chaos so he seem to be more important. But he should realize no matter what his time is over and so or later so will be his money :)
