I have a couple of questions has anybody used a service to obtain there 1 year visa ? I contacted a company that told me they can do this with out any problem as they provide the needed letters and assured me that it would be issued.

Just depends who you use and where you go. We have helped many foreigners coming to Thailand ourselves. With the exception of Israel, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bombay, Los Angeles, Sweden and SE Asia countries, have we ever had a problem assisting a client to get the one year non immigrant visa.

However just getting a 90 day non immigrant business visa is even difficult in Nepal, some times in Bangladesh, Bombay and Los Angeles. The laws on interpretation of the requirements are not uniform from Embassy to Embassy.
