Truevision Forgets To Turn On Live Nfl Game.....again.

I feel lucky to be able to see live NFL games here in Thailand, however, finding a live sportscast as advertised always seems to be a challenge with Truevisions. I just stayed up till 0315 to see the 49ers play the Seahawks live on Truevision (ASN Channel 40), something I never thought I would be able to do here in Thailand, so that's good, but it's something I pay good money for. I got my warning SMS at 0250, a nice little feature easily set up using Truevisions website. So far it was looking good, but I still had my doubts... Sure enough 0315 comes around, the previous game is over, but no 9ers game. Hmmmm. I wait and wait thinking maybe kickoff is 0330 or 0345. Then I find out it's half way through the 2nd quarter and 10-0 9ers ahead already!!! As I go to truevisions.com in hunt of a 24 hour help/complaint line just as the game clicks on at 0350!!! <deleted> Truevisions!!

I seem to recall this being reported on ThaiVisa before, but I find nothing using search. I remember someone had found a number to call after hours if this happened. Anyone have that? I don't see a 24 hour number on their website, nor is there one on my bill. I sent an email complaining an asking for a 24 hour number, so we will see.

I noticed this morning (about 6:00AM) that the 49ner Seahawks game was on Truesport 2 (channel 60?), it had both the Truesport and ASN logo on the screen.

North America is not part of Thailand's world. In fact I doubt the Thai television producers even know there IS a place called North America. Hey, but you can watch soccer for 24 hours a day... or something exciting like darts and bowling. :) I'm surprised they even post the scores of hockey and football in the Bangkok Post.

I'm a chronic complainer when it comes to True Visions. The kid from the vocational college that they leave in the control room over night most likely fell asleep. It also could be an alcohol and drug fueled party hosted by the same guy in the control room and they were listening to Channel [V] and regrettably but understandably forgot to turn on the game.

This is Thailand!

There will be repeats of that game throughout the week. Not the same as seeing it live, but being a Niner fan, I will certainly take the time to see it :-)

I also find it interesting that the SAME GAMES show on two different channels (ASN and True Sports). In this case, the dude slept through the event and neither channel got the game until the 2nd quarter. It's so stupid that it's almost laughable...well...at least when you're not up at 3:30am trying to watch your live NFL football (regardless of the team playing).

Nothing really surprises me anymore with Thailand or with True. I tend to take the good with the bad in Thailand as I feel people are mostly sincere and try very hard to please.

However, True is a company that is paid handily by subscribers. They are a business with a commitment to paying customers. It's unfortunate that the True company is either too unorganized or doesn't care enough to provide a decent service to subscribers.

Who wants to watch football at 6AM after having sex all night? A guy has to get his priorities right. :)

Yes, I've been screwed by True many times. But somehow I don't consider it sex.

Yeah, I'd like to see the first 40 minutes!

Ah yes, I did notice somewhere it looked as though it was going to be on two channels. I know it still wasn't on either as of 0350. Once I got it on ASN I didn't check the other. I wonder, was the volume of the commercials 10 times as loud as the game like on ASN?

It's one reason I dumped True/UBC. You can get the games on the internet live, or download an hour after the game is over.

Download where? Free?

Many many places. Google it. Usually it's just an independent person providing the stream. Sometimes you need to download additional software. www.howtowatchfootball.com is one. Sometimes the links/streams don't work so you have to keep looking.

No commercials on TrueSports. I actually prefer to watch the repeats on TrueSports on Mondays and Tuesdays, as they cut out all the timeouts and the entire game is shown in about 2 hours and in prime time

Watched the Saints-Eagles last night. Not an NO fan, but they did look good.

We'll see if anyone gets back to me. I want that kids mobile number in the control room so I can wake him up or get him to stop texting long enough to put on my farking game!!
