thanks for your comments can i clarify... If I do put a switch at the house area... The pump wire is probably only 1.5m long (as per what Im buying at homepro). Its only a really short cable. Are you saying that the sparkie cuts that and puts a new cable on the pump and runs that cable all the way to the carport switch?. Does he put that in a waterproof plastic pipe covering for protection from water? '' Do you actually need a switch at the pump? A waterproof outlet on the pole may be better.'' the pole is 5m away from the pump. is it the same as above? does the sparkie change the pump wire? -
