September 24, 200916 yr Has anybody figured out a good way to hook an iPod into a late model Hilux Vigo's factory sound system? I'm not interested in FM transmitters, and a cassette adapter won't work as it's a CD player only.
September 24, 200916 yr Luckily my Fortuner is a 2006 model and has a tape player as well as 6 CD changer so I use the cassete adapter. You could take it into any Thai Audio for cars shop and I'm sure that if it can be done, they will do it, other than that, buy after market unit with iPod jack.

Yeah, but it makes me a little nervous to have a Thai audio shop guy messing around with the factory stereo. Has anyone done this with a new truck/car recently?

It also enables to control the ipod through vehicle's steering controls such as Volume and Previous/Next track buttons on the steering and charges the battery of ipod at the same time. It's called XCarlink. Google it for more information. I had this guy to install the xcarlink for me in bangkok. His name is Piak email. [email protected] phone 085-9339592. charged me 3000 something for xcarlink including installation to my vehicle. Hope it helps
September 29, 200916 yr Here's the answer. Check this link; http://asia.cnet.com/crave/2009/09/28/fm-m...?scid=rss_c_crv It plugs into the antenna jack then the antenna plugs into it. It's called an FM modulator. Now we just have to find someone who sells them.
