Pattaya, September 24 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : Early on Thursday Morning, Police Lieutenant Wacharapat from Banglamung Police Station was called to a house locating inside the SP Village 5 Estate in Soi Siam Country Club to deal with a suspected case of suicide. Officers and rescue workers who were also asked to attend were met by Mr. Ross James Francis aged 67 from Canada who was in a distraught state. He explained that he had gone out with friends on Wednesday Night and returned at around 4am. He fell asleep on his sofa and decided not to disturb his wife; Khun Pun aged 32 who he assumed was asleep. He woke up a few hours later and entered the bedroom to see his wife who had apparently hung herself from the window rail using a length of material. Around the room were notes written by the victim which said “Pun love you forever”. We understand that the couple, who had been together for 3 years, were experiencing domestic issues which is thought to be the motive behind the apparent suicide. Police are waiting for the results of a post mortem examination before they confirm that this was indeed a suicide.

Suicide is very difficult for survivors to live with. There is terrible guilt, even if they did nothing wrong and couldn't prevent it.

My condolences to the partner. I think he will be spending a great deal of time suffering from this.

May the lady rest in peace.

Call me callous, but coming home at 04:00? Maybe if he had come home earlier, his wife would still be alive?

Alright Poirot.. hardly a crime is it.

Well if it is ill get life !,..

I think that a high percentage of Thai women in Pattaya develop a 'borderline' personality. Unfortunately this sometimes leads to drastic and melodramatic self harm and/or suicide.

Sad for all involved.
