dluek
Hi, I'm planning a move to Bangkok (will actually be living in Nonthaburi near Chao Phraya piers), and am considering the options for transport. I would like to be able to travel the country freely so car would be best, but concerned that costs for cars appear higher in Thailand than the US... Not ruling out buying a motorbike either. Any advice on buying a car or motorbike? And does anyone know of a good place to lease newer cars from? Thanks, DL
guzzi850m2
DL Don't know if you can lease a car here, how long time are you staying? Cars and bigger motorbikes are expensive compared to many places, but not so for a Dane like me actually very cheap, my Harley was 1/2 price compared to Denmark. I think you can get a decent car/SUV for about 1 mill bath, I just spend app. 490K on a 2 year old Honda City which is a good little sedan, buy maybe too small for an American No matter what you chose don't forget a 1st class insurance which will be very helpful in case of an accident/theft. I pay 22K for the Harley and 14K for the City pr year, which again are very cheap compared to Denmark. Enjoy your stay in Thailand, I do.
