Non-o Visa Finished

Featured Replies

Hello all,

my multi entry non-o visa has finished and my 90 days are due to end in 5 days time. I will have been in Thailand for almost 15 months now, having just got a last 90 days before the visa ended.

I am in phuket. Can I take a return flight to Singapore and get a 30 day stamp when I come back???

p.s. My visa was issued in the UK, I am a British citizen. What requirements are there to extend a non-o visa etc.

Is it too late to do that as it expired on july 24th.

Many thanks

-Jack

Are you married to a Thai? Over age 50 and retired? Supporting a Thai child that you are the parent of? You need a valid reason to extend such a visa entry. For extension your permitted to stay date matters - not your visa expiration date.

Yes you can fly out and back to obtain a 30 day stay.

Or you could visit Vientiane and likely be able to obtain a two entry tourist visa.

Or visit Perth for another Non O based on visiting friends.

For UK national, any entry by air into the Kingdom will give you a 30 day permission to stay. If you qualify you could obtain extension of stay (Thai wife/Thai Child/retirement/ working etc). If you need a new ‘long stay’ visa the best options would be to obtain another multi-entry Non-O on the basis of visiting friends from either Hull or Perth.

Khun Chamaiporn of the Royal Thai Consulate in Brisbane will issue you with a 12 month Non Imm O class visa while you wait providing you have your papers in order

...or Birmingham (the UK)

good luck!

Fly to UK, go to Hull, fly back.

Fly to Oz, wait, fly back. Email consulates to check paperwork etc. Last time I looked, it was copy of Thai ID card of friend inviting you to visit.

Cheapest is Vientiane for a double but if you don't routinely travel outside Thailand and want to stay another year, beware curtailment of back to back tourist visas and the Bt1900 extension fees after 60 days.

I'd get another "O" multi to be safe.

Can apply by post when in UK; you do not have to apply in person.

wow thank you all for the responses. I am only 27 and not married to a Thai. I think just out and back in for 30

days should be ok. I am in talks with a company here for a job so it is likely I will be getting a non-imm B very soon.

If not a return to the UK will be in order.

many thanks
