Visa Non-im B For Work Permit?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have currently a VISA ED expiring in december 2009, but I found a job so I'm going to apply for a VISA NON IMM B to get a work permit. My future employer already apply to get the WP3.

Where is the best destination in the region to get the VISA NON IMM B? Kuala Lumpur, Vientiane, Phnom Penh, Penang, Singapore, Kota Barhu, Hong Kong ...?

Can I get a VISA B one year multiple entry? Or, for the first time can I only get a single entry? In the worst case of the single entry, do I need to apply every 90 days in a consulate abroad for a new visa NON-IM B?

ps: I got already two visas (tourist visa +and education visa) in Vientiane, any problem to come back to this consulate.

Thank you for your help.

Jack

You will need to obtain form WP3 from the Labour Department before applying for your Non-B visa. You will need full company documents but will only get single-entry visa first time round in the region. KL is a good place to go, but Penang will also issue if company has registered share capital of at least 8 million baht.

After 90 days you should be able to obtain multi-entry Non-B visa from KL as long as you have at least 8 months left on your work permit and provide full company documents.

Consulates in the region seem to change rules quite often,,,

Singapore will only ever give you a single entry non-b - whats the use..

Perth, KL, and sometimes Vientienne do multiples..

You need to tie it n with your WP as well.. AND have ALL suporting documents and not be PNG..

The reason why most consulates in the region will only issue single entry Non-B visas is because they expect you to apply for extension of stay based on employment at Thai immigration after 90 days.

Flamingo Hotel, KL. Google it. About 10 minutes by taxi or 30-40 minute steady walk.

I once met two potential school teachers in Penang, who were there simply for the purpose of obtaining a non-immigrant B for thier work permits.

They were with us riff-raff obtaining our renewal single entry O's, but they were both happy with the services of a Mr RAVI SHARMA of PENANG (you can google him) who sorted the guys out as an agent, hassle free and he'll sort out the accomodation for you while you wait overnight.
