patrickinpattaya
Hi all, I'm returning to Pattaya next week and am looking to rent a Toyota Fortuner 7 seater for about a month, whats the going rate? Been quoted 1500 bht per day. I'd like a cheaper price ideally. Also, is it worth buying a car and renting it out when I'm not in Thailand? I've heard of a few regulars that do this any thoughts? Thanx Pat
PattayaParent
Best deal I got when renting a Fortuner for 4 days was at the Budget office in the Marriot. If you were to buy to rent a car how would you control the useage and collect the money etc.? I have done it before with an old car but only to help out friends and not as a business. patrickinpattaya
it would certainly be difficult, I'd have to trust a friend to look after it for me. Still if I overcame that issue it would certainly be worth it. Or would it
PattayaParent
It might actually be the Hertz office in Marriot. Not so sure now as it was a long time ago, but anyway the car hire company that has a desk in the Marriot is where I got the Fortuner from. thaihome
Try Quality Car Rental. I have used them in the past several times. This was more then 5 years ago, so could be different managment now. TH

Agreed - also the major name really do have propper insurance cover for rentals - many companys have big banners talking about insurance but when you return they put the screws on - the JJ jet ski case is well practiced in Pattaya car rental companies too.
