Renew Extension Of Stay (for Business)

I currently have a one year extension of stay on a Non-Immigrant B visa. It will expire on Nov 16 next month, and I want to renew it for another year.

I have been quoted 11200 baht by a legal services company here in Chiang Mai, so I was wondering whether anyone could recommend a company that could do it cheaper, or whether anyone has done it themselves? How much work is actually involved?

On what is that extension based?

Marriage, retirement?

In your thread title you mention "business", but as far as I know there is no such extension. Extension based on employment (holding a work permit) is what I guess you have.

The extension based on employment does involve a fair bit of paperwork, including stuff coming from your employer (audited book keeping etc, social security payment of Thai employees etc).

The actual extension only costs 1,900 Baht.

Well, employment then, although I'm running the business and thus employing myself :-)
