Questions About Tm.47 & Tm.28

Featured Replies

Advise please. My 2nd 90 day reporting is due the 16th, Oct. in Bangkok. Since my first 90 day reporting I've moved. Was unable to do the required reporting of a change of address in the required 24 hour period. So now I'm faced with giving immigration a change of address notification and doing a 90 day report. How would you handle this? Also is there examples available on how to fill out forms TM.47 & TM.28. Thank you. Standing by. :)

Give immigration both forms together, and just tell them you moved yesterday :)

The forms are relatively straightforward and are written in both Thai and English languages, so you should not have too many problems.

You may well find that the change of Address form will get filed in the bin.

Mine did when I tried as they did not know what it was. That was in Samui.

Thanks for advice however I hate to admit it but such words as TAMBOL, AMPHUR, TAMPON, AMPHOE have no meaning to me or to the in laws.

They are government administrative offices. An L at the end of a Thai word is pronounced as an N, I don't think they are ever called Tampons. :D

Amphur = District.

Tambol = Sub District.

Example if you live in Lamai on Koh Samui. It would be.

Changwat Surattani

Amphur Koh Samui

Tambol Maret.

Your Thai family will know this.

Both forms are written in Thai and English. You may not know the terms as they appear in English but sure the wife or in-laws that can read Thai knows what they are.

Thanks for response. Had a big laugh though. My wife and in laws are clueless. Not the first time they've frustrated me. :)
