I have a US job (programming) that will allow me to work from anywhere that has an internet connection. I want to get a visa to stay in phuket, but I don't want to find a job in Thailand as I already have a job. Any information would be great.

I don't know how old you are, so the first answer is that if you want to stay here for a long time, you need a Thai wife.

Second option is if you are over 50 years old, then you can stay on a retirement basis.

Third is the investment option, 3 million baht minimum.
