My GF said i should not keep my blue registration book thing in my car. Where should it be kept, at home or in the car, or maybe a copy of it in the car??

I always kept mine in the car. Recently i had some repair work done and the car was in hte garage for ages. They called me and asked if i could send them a copy of the book. I told them it was in the car and they were shocked. They told me to only have copies of the blue book and insurance in the car. All originals should be at home.

thanks nidge, that makes sense. I wouldn't wanna lose it, imagine the hassle of getting another

The Bluebook for cars and Greenbook for motorbikes is essentially the Title of Ownership. I would never carry the Title for my USA owned car in the car. It would stay in a secure place at home or other place. So the 2 Books remain in a locked, safe place with copies of each in the vehicles.
