Renewal I Year Retirement Visa

Recommended Posts

The extension of stay for the 'dependant' piggy backs the financials used by the main 'applicant' for their own extension of stay, so no need for 'dependant' to show seperate financials.

Great info ThaiPhoon, thanks! :)

:):D:D

Just renewed my retirement extention with no problems whatsoever. Never have had to prove my address. What annoys me is this - British Consulate in Jomtien charge for proof of finance letter is ONE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY BAHT.. Cost of letter from Bank is only 100 Bt. How can the Consulate justify such an exorbitant amount, considering they use a template?

A monopoly is known for that,US does the same.

The actual reason is it requires a home country nationals time to provide the service and with overseas expenses that comes to a very high hourly rate. It is not cheap operating and staffing Embassies/Consulates.

Thenlet the govrnments save millions of $ on the needless trips they make every week. With full staff and party goers of course!`

Not every time they have to go to the U.N.O.or to a really important meeting! :)
