Do I Need A Re-entry Visa?

Featured Replies

I'm teaching in Pattaya and have a non-immigrant "B" visa (which was multiple entry) and permit. I was issued an extra 90 days until May when I have to report to immigration and fill in the appropriate form.

However, I am planning to be out of the country for a few days in April, do I need a re-entry visa? If so can I get it from any immigration office (i.e. Sri Racha) or do I have to go to Pattaya again?

My original NI "B" expires in August.

If you are on an extended entry permit, you need a re-entry permit to keep that entry permit alive.

If you are just here on a 90 day entry permit, you can depart and then reenter with a fresh 90 day entry permit - and then - when work permit expires - you can renew work permit to match expiration date on new entry permit. The fcat that you had no valoid entry permit when you were outside Thailand is not considered - all they consider is that you were never in Thailand without a valid non-immigrant entry pemit.

Good luck!

Either Sri Racha or Pattaya should be able to help you with the re-entry permit.

Since you work in Pattaya, that would be the more logical choice.
